I am also an illustrator and designer with a keen interest in using visual storytelling to stimulate behavioral change. |
Ashley Fite, Health Promotion Intern
I am a senior at Rice University studying public health and psychological sciences. I'm looking forward to spending my summer at HealthStart, helping deliver science-based health education to children, and giving back to the community. I believe this experience will prepare me to pursue my Masters of Public Health degree in the future and go on to make positive change. In my free time, I enjoy going for a "fika" with family and friends, cooking, spending time outdoors, traveling, and trying new restaurants across town. |
Alyssa Cecil, Health Promotion Intern
My name is Alyssa Cecil and I am a senior Health Promotion major at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. I was part of the women's indoor and beach programs at the university which is where I learned about my love for public health. I believe interning at HealthStart will help me better my skills in empowering young people to make healthy lifestyle choices and motivating them to become better self-managers through health promotion activities. I am a passionate planner of health programs and believe HealthStart will help teach me ways to create more effective and enjoyable programs for children. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and puppy. |
Aly Gorday, Graphic Design Intern
My name is Aly Gorday and I am a senior graphic design major at St. Edward's University. I am on the Women's Cross Country Team for St. Edward's which has been a great experience. I decided I wanted to be an intern with Healthstart because I believe this company will be able to expand my knowledge and skills as a graphic designer. I believe Healthstart will teach me more about design in the real world and how important communication and collaboration is by working in real world situations. |
