They will understand that weather takes place in the lower layers. They will learn how rain is made. Chapter 2: Clouds in the Sky Students will identify various weather events. They will identify various clouds and where in the atmosphere they reside. Students will understand the connection between weather, the ocean, land and everything on the Earth. Chapter 3: Greenhouse Effect Students will understand the impact human activities have on the atmosphere. They will identify gasses that create the greenhouse barrier and ways they can promote a healthier atmosphere in their own homes. Chapter 4: Creatures Great and Small Students will identify planets in the solar system. The will understand the effects the Sun and Moon have on the Earth. They will identify seasons and their importance to the health of all creatures on the planet. They will identify ways to participate in a healthy relationship with the world.
